Topic: Scrap Metal Classifications

Ok guys here is a question for you which I dont know if anyone will know as even our local scrap metal merchant couldnt tell me the answer lol

What does OA stand for?

Everyone knows HMS 1&2 etc and all the other classifications but nobody seems to know what OA stands for.

According to one of our contacts:  "Its an old term for Number 1 scrap like good quality heavy iron."

Thanks guys but it still doesnt tell me what the O and A stand for we know what it is just not what the letters originally stood for.
