Can we have them all killed?
I'm fed up with looking at a survey then going to a site and seeing blindingly obvious places with asbestos, that haven't been sampled.
Then clients inisisting you take the contract all risk, times are hard enough without these people making it harder.
this is a touchy subject for me, it seams to be getting worse also. we have done many a job and it has been all risk but there always that 1 place were the asy lads miss and costs you extra and that extr could potentialy be your proffit on the job (not much these days)

In addition to the industry burden of excessive legislation we currently have a HSE consultation document for review detailing a proposed charging scheme for HSE inspections that result in a material breach.
Once the inspection reaches the level of “material breach” a system of charges will kick in at the highly competitive rate of £133 p/h!!!
Look out Contractors if this comes into force we could well end up with HSE inspectors working to targets just like traffic wardens dishing out prohibition notices for anything and everything.
